This way, your $$ increases faster, and you get more space out of your house because those big items are gone!
Lets get to work on pricing and entering your items
Prices begin at $2.50, and you also get to decide if you want to allow your items to sell at a discount, along with
General pricing guidelines…..Price around 25-40% of the retail price. Keep in mind that toys and other high demand items often sell up to 50% of retail
ONLINE ITEMS: As you enter your item info/price, you’ll also take a pic to upload and you’ll mark that it’s ready for the online sale.
-
Remember earlier about starting with best/highest demand items? This way, your check with increase faster, you’ll bring less home (unless you Marie Kondo everything and let it bring joy to someone else!), and if you can’t finish, then you see a better return!

Sell the most stuff by DISCOUNTING it!
It’s already out of your house, and on the last days, shoppers are looking for discounts! Let someone besides YOU, take it home!
Don’t forget to DONATE-you can help out soooo many families this way!
-
Descriptions and BRANDS are very important!
-Include Brand in Line 1
-Continue a good description in Line 2
“Quantity=more than 1 of the EXACT SAME item with EXACT SAME price
-
Categories are VERY IMPORTANT for 3 reasons
1-if you’re selling items online, it’ll be in the accurate area on the website and will sell faster!
2-we prep our selling floor based on the items in those categories
3-if your tag goes missing, it’s easier to find the item and make sure you get credit if it’s entered correctly!
-
You can’t cross out or wrote over your tag – no whiteout or changed prices. The barcode does not know to make the change you would write. Made a mistake? You’ll need to change your information online and reprint the tag.
It’s entered, now lets Prep/Hang!
Prepping your items correctly helps keep the selling floor organized and easy for shoppers!
ONLINE ONLY: if an item sells, the prep looks a little different-the item has already sold so it doesn’t need to be on a hanger or presented beautifully. You’ll have a separate SOLD item tag to attach. Use lots of rubber bands to roll your clothes/lots together (no hangers needed), breakables need to be packaged carefully, items w/pieces need to be contained and a “SOLD” tag should be attached to everything
-
Glass of wine
Printed Tags (print on white cardstock 60-69lb!)
Scissors
Hangers
Safety Pins
Clear Packing Tape (*NEVER tape over the barcode.*)
Ziploc Bags (multiple sizes depending on what you are selling)
Masking Tape or Painter’s Tape (good for attaching tags to books)
Plastic wrap (good for holding puzzles or toy items with many pieces, together)
Tagging Gun (optional, safety pins can be used as well) *If using a tagging gun make sure to only place the needle in a seam, any other location may cause damage to your item and damaged items will not be accepted.
Ribbon or Zip Ties
Batteries- for those toys that require batteries
-
Tags print out 8 to a page, enter tags and print/work in groups of 8
-
If you can shake your item off a hanger, secure with a safety pin (it can’t sell if it fell onto the floor!)
If your kiddo can open a hole in the Ziploc bag, use clear plastic tape to make sure it stays closed
-
Ask your friends for hangers, look at the checklanes at stores, and check on our Facebook group-lots of mamas have extras that they don’t want to keep around the house!
-
We focus on SELLING your items, and sometimes it is too busy at the register to take hangers off-we need to keep the lines down!
We recommend that you come back at the end of the sale though-our charity partners take hangers off and there’s always a TON to grab!
If we do get hangers off at registers we’ll bundle them, so make sure you sign up to help and when you’re done with your time you can grab hangers!
-
All clothing should be washed, wrinkle /dog hair and odor-free, and on a hanger
Make sure hangers look like a ? when you put the clothing on, otherwise it’s facing backwards on the rack
All tags should be attached to the tag on the back of the collar, or on the right side of the garment (right underarm seam)
Pants/Shorts should not be hung over the hanger, only safety pinned or using pants hangers.
DO NOT USE STAPLES, STRAIGHT PINS, CLOTHES PINS or TAPE to attach tags-they will not be accepted
Sort by gender and size for drop off-you’ll thank yourself! Yarn, scented trash bags, or zip ties work well with keeping sizes together!
-
All shoes should be clean and in gently used or new condition. Magic Eraser works great for cleaning shoes.
To join shoes together please use curling ribbon, a zip tie, or rubber band to join both shoes together and then attach the tag either to the shoe itself or on the connecting ribbon, zip tie, or shoelaces.
Or you can affix the tag to the bottom of the shoes, with the top half on one shoe and the bottom half (with the barcode) on the other shoe. Make sure to keep the barcode clear of tape.
-
Toys should be clean and all parts should be in working order. Include batteries if they are required for the toy to work.
Tags should be attached with packaging tape. Please do not cover the barcode with tape!
For toys with small parts please seal them in a ziploc bag and attach the tag with packaging tape.
-
Many items (hair bows, bottles, etc) fit well in a ziploc bag. Please tape the tag to the bag with clear packing tape. Please do not place tape over the barcode.
-
These need to have all the pieces and need to be in the box, plastic wrapped (wooden children’s puzzles), or tied together. Use painter’s tape or masking tape to secure box lids to bottoms.
Be careful when using tape as it may remove the paint from the puzzles. Attach the tag to the outside of the puzzle being careful not to cover the barcode with tape.
-
All items need to be brought to drop off, and make sure you put together large items because they will sell QUICKLY! (strollers, pack & plays, tents, cribs, climbing equipment)
We have large item tags that you’ll need to fill out when you drop off so shoppers can easily find the price!
-
We will no longer accept BEDDING SETS, but will accept sheets. These will go in labeled bins on a table
All blankets MUST be on hangers-they will all be hung on rolling racks
-
Please use masking tape or painter’s tape to attach the tag to the item as it can be removed without damaging the book or video. Please seal DVD’s and CD’s with tape.
Electronics-you MUST check to make sure it turns on! If it’s small, attach it to cardboard and put in a ziploc bag, taping the bag so holes can’t be made.
